The Famous Black Hunter Take-Down Recurve Bow – For Beginners
We have asked the manufacturer of the Black Hunter if there was a possibility to get a low draw weight Black Hunter custom made for us. And they were happy to oblige.
With 25# at 28″ draw weight this Black Hunter is much more beginner friendly than the usually lowest 30#. And while this is the 58″ version it can still be drawn out to 30″. You will be able to upgrade this bow with our replacement limbs of the 60″ recurve bow the risers of all our Black Hunter bows and all our limbs are interchangeable.
Black Hunter Takedown Recurve Bow
Famous 58″ traditional recurve bow with a 15″ riser made of layers of action wood (dymondwood) for weight, stability and with a very natural touch and feel.
The shelf is designed for minimal arrow contact (double radius), a design that we have only found in highest quality bows. The limbs have a bamboo core with matte black fibre glass for a smooth draw.
Our Black Hunter has no prints or labels on the riser as we ordered a brand free look directly from the manufacturer, the draw weight is written by hand in neat handwriting on the inside of the lower limb.
You will have a hard time finding a better bow at this amazing price.
- We check all bows for issues before we sell them
- This is the 58″ version of the Black Hunter
- This is the latest bamboo core version
There are many, many fakes out there as this bow is made in China. Some fakes are good – some are bad. We back our Black Hunter with our extended 2 Year Warranty, so you don’t have to worry about it.
What is so good about this bow?
You may have already heard about the Black Hunter. It’s a global hit, with probably the largest amount of positive reviews online and on Youtube. I am grateful for this bow as it allows people to get into traditional archery with a decent bow at a very affordable price point. It’s a very forgiving bow and ensures a good success rate and therefore a lot of fun.
There are much better bows out there, our Jackalope longbows certainly have an even better feel and finish, but you will not find another bow in this price range that is this good.
Black Hunter Limbs Trade-In
Buy your Black Hunter Recurve bow from us and you can trade in your limbs as you grow stronger. We quality check your returned limbs and if they are still good you will get $40 of your new limb set. This is an ideal solution if you’re new to archery and most likely will require stronger limbs in short intervals as you grow stronger. Remember to get a bow stringer to avoid limb twist if you want to trade-in your limbs in the future!
A bow that lasts the distance
We have tortured our sample Black hunter Recurve bows in the 30# and 45# version before we decided to stock them: We increased the brace height to breaking point, we drew it out to 34″, we shot super light-weight arrows. We left it strung for days. We even shot it strung the wrong way. We dry fired it – multiple times. We could not break it! But please don’t do as we did – the bow will take of course some damage over time from being handled this way and it is unsafe to do so unless you know exactly what you’re doing.
